Club History

The Laurel Heights Garden Club was organized in 1931, being one of several small groups created by the Junior League of San Antonio.  Its purpose was to create a greater interest in cultivation of flowers for personal pleasure and to develop the art of gardening.  The LHGC participate in and contribute to the development of the San Antonio Garden Center, supports Junior Gardening, assist in the support of the San Antonio Botanical Center and provides assistance to community gardening projects.
